【摘要】:Thepurposeofthispracticeistoprovidedesigners,engineers,manufacturers,owners,andoperatorswithcriteriaandreferencesforuseindesigningamusementridesanddevicesoramajormodificationforamusementridesordevices.1.1Thispracticeestablishescriteriaforthedesignofamusementrides,devicesandmajormodificationstoamusementridesanddevicesmanufacturedaftertheeffectivedateofpublicationexceptasnotedin1.2.1.2Thispracticeshallnotapplyto:1.2.1Patrondirectedamusementridesordevices(forexample,gokarts,bumpercars,bumperboats),1.2.2Artificialclimbingwalls,1.2.3Air-supportedstructures,1.2.4dryslides,1.2.5coinoperatedrides,1.2.6Amusementridesordevicesthatinvolvethepurposefulimmersionofthepatron''sbodypartiallyortotallyinthewaterandinvolvesmorethanincidentalpatronwatercontact(forexample,pools,waterslides,lazyrivers,interactiveaquaticplaydevices),1.2.7AmusementridesanddeviceswhosedesigncriteriaarespecificallyaddressedinanotherASTMstandard,1.2.8Portionsofanamusementrideordeviceunaffectedbyamajormodification,1.2.9Upgradestoelectricalwiring,electricalmotorsandelectricalcomponentsofamusementridesanddevicesprovidedtheoriginaldesignandsafetycriteriaaremaintainedorenhanced,and1.2.10Pre-existingdesignsmanufacturedaftertheeffectivedateofpublicationofthispracticeifthedesignisserviceprovenorpreviouslycompliantandthemanufacturerprovides:1.2.10.1Ahistoricalsummaryoftheamusementride,deviceormajormodification,and1.2.10.2AstatementthatthedesignisserviceprovenorpreviouslycompliantasspecifiedbySection3.1.2.11Amusementridesanddevices,andmajormodificationstoamusementridesanddevicesmayqualifyasx201C;previouslycompliantx201D;forfiveyearsfollowingthedateofpublicationofthispractice.Thereafter,amusementridesanddevices,andmajormodificationstoamusementridesanddevicesmustqualifyasx201C;serviceprovenx201D;ormeettherequirementsofthispractice.1.3Thispracticeincludesanannex(mandatory),whichprovidesadditionalinformation(forexample,rationale,background,interpretations,drawings,commentary,andsoforth)toimprovetheuser''sunderstandingandapplicationofthecriteriapresentedinthispractice.Theannexinformationshallbeinterpretedasmandatorydesigncriteria.1.4Thispracticeincludesanappendix(non-mandatory),whichprovidesadditionalinformation(forexample,rationale,background,interpretations,drawings,commentary,andsoforth.)toimprovetheuser''sunderstandingandapplicationofthecriteriapresentedinthispractice.Theappendixinformationshallnotbeinterpretedasmandatorydesigncriteria.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
